Four-Year Strategic Outcomes

2022: February

  • Organized a comprehensive three-week National Individual Amateur Boxing Championship that showcased the participation of over 50 gyms (Boxing clubs) from all sixteen (16) regions of Ghana.
  • The primary objective was to reconstitute a new Black Bombers, National Youth team (Black Rockets), and National female team (Black Hitters), laying the foundation for the future of Ghanaian boxing.

2022: March to June

  • Conducted non-residential training and sparring activities for the selected boxers gearing up for the Commonwealth Games in Birmingham, UK, scheduled from July 28th to August 8th.

2022: July

  • Orchestrated a special residential training camp both in Ghana and the UK, fine-tuning the Boxers for the Commonwealth Games.
  • Set a targeted goal of securing a minimum of 2 Gold, 2 Silver, and 1 Bronze medals at the Commonwealth Games.

2023: Accra 2023 (Africa Games)

  • Positioned the focus on the Africa Games hosted in Accra, capitalizing on the momentum gained from previous initiatives to make a significant impact on the continental stage.

2024: Paris 2024 Olympic Games

  • Aligned with the long-term vision, directed efforts towards the pinnacle of amateur sports, the Paris 2024 Olympic Games, with the aim of showcasing Ghana’s prowess and securing commendable achievements on the global platform.

These outlined key outcomes for the next four years underscore the Ghana Boxing Federation’s commitment to strategic planning, athlete development, and international competitiveness. The initiatives detailed above represent a roadmap towards fostering a culture of excellence and achieving significant milestones in the realm of amateur boxing.
